NEW YORK, NY

February 22, 2024 Captivate, North America’s leading digital-out-of-home video network, is excited to announce the return of its hit Women in Business content series this March in celebration of Women’s History Month, International Women’s Day and Equal Pay Day.

In what has become a beloved feature, over 100 prominent female professionals from brands such as T-Mobile, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, PepsiCo, Intel, Brooks Running, Publicis, Initiative and Horizon Media offer advice on self-advocacy, underrated leadership traits and how to stay driven. Advice featured in the campaign includes:

  • “I try to take lessons from what goes well and, more importantly, what doesn’t go well, to become better EVERY day.” – Janice Barbosa, Senior Marketing Media Manager, T-Mobile
  • “Never apologize for something that does not warrant an apology. However, always be accountable for your own behavior and your contribution.” – Marissa Yoss, VP, Media & Brand Marketing, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts
  • “Self-awareness is key to growth and success. Recognizing where you fall short, but also where you exceed expectations, helps you identify how best YOU can create positive impact.” – Blythe Sivie, SVP Paid Strategy, Publicis Constellation Groupe
  • “I use my voice regardless of who wants to hear it. If I don’t speak up, who will?” – Jamie Dorfman, SVP Media Innovation Director, Mediahub

Alongside this feature, Captivate Office Pulse – the company’s research division – has released the results of a workplace study that found an impressive 40% of women say they are “never” struck by self-doubt, a higher proportion than men. When asked if they felt their success was deserved, 46% of women said that not only did they earn their spot, but they’re also aspiring to even higher echelons.

Other insights from the Captivate Office Pulse study include:

  • 66% of female professionals considered themselves to be risk-takers at work
  • Early-career women were more than twice as likely to have a clear career plan than those in the workforce for 8-14 years
  • 91% of professional women said they used unwarranted apologies like “sorry” at least some of the time in oral communication

Additionally, over a dozen custom curated content series from Captivate’s editorial team will be prominent across Captivate throughout March. Among them:

  • The Stories of Women: A spotlight on film & TV projects by female creators that focus on the diverse experiences of women
  • Women at the Mic: Podcasts and talks presented by women spanning different sectors, including work, entertainment and politics
  • Winning Women: A series highlighting female athletes at the top of their game

On March 1 Captivate will host a workshop and networking event in Toronto for female professionals, called Being Confident Communicators, in partnership with the Canadian Marketing Association. Due to overwhelming demand, this event is already sold out.

The Women in Business series launches March 1 across Captivate’s network of over 20,000 screens in premier office towers and luxury residential properties throughout North America.
