Captivate Partners With the American Psychological Association to Enhance Mental Health Content

Promoting a healthier work environment, Captivate teams up with APA to empower professionals with valuable mental health resources during World Mental Health Day and beyond.

NEW YORK, Sep. 28, 2023 — Captivate, North America’s leading digital-out-of-home video network, is partnering with the American Psychological Association (APA), the largest scientific and professional organization of psychologists in the United States, to raise awareness about mental health and cultivate workplace well-being. The collaboration kicks off in October with World Mental Health Day on October 10th.

Captivate’s Editorial Team will curate valuable news and information from the APA to enhance and amplify mental health content in an original Workplace Wellness series. At a time when mental health and wellness is especially critical for Americans, this strategic content partnership equips Captivate’s audience with actionable advice for balancing the challenges of work and life while reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. The Workplace Wellness series delivers mental health research and resources to Captivate’s vast network of modern professionals across 20,800 Captivate screens.

This partnership comes on the heels of APA’s 2023 Work in America Survey, which found that 77% of workers reported experiencing work-related stress in the prior month. Additionally, 92% said they want to work for an organization that values their emotional and psychological well-being.

A separate Captivate Office Pulse survey found that prioritizing mental health is important to white-collar workers, with 74% of professionals saying that their employer provides some form of mental health resources.

“Here at Captivate, we care about content and we care about our viewers. Our partnership with the APA is the ultimate pairing of these two values, giving us the ability to spotlight cutting-edge insights on a topic that matters. The experts, our viewers and the data all agree – mental health needs to be a top priority for employers, which means it’s a top priority for us,” said Alice Gogh, Chief Growth Officer at Captivate.

“Employers understand that addressing their employees’ psychological health and well-being is good for business,” said APA CEO Arthur C. Evans Jr., PhD. “APA is committed to improving mental health in the workplace, and our partnership with Captivate provides another conduit to deliver information that both employees and employers can use to manage daily stress and achieve optimal mental health in the workplace.”

The American Psychological Association joins Captivate’s growing roster of over 150 different content partners, including esteemed names like the Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Washington Post, Scripps News, and Nerdwallet.
