Philip Watt is a consultant to Conifer Advisors, LLC, the private equity arm of Southeast Asset Advisors, Inc. Conifer Advisors manages 3 funds focused on private equity investing but with a broad mandate to allocate capital to any suitably qualifying investment.
Dr. Watt has served on the board of directors of a variety of companies and organizations, including 10 years on the Georgia Board of Natural Resources, of which he was Chairman in 2012.
Dr. Watt was Co-Founder and Director of the North Luangwa Conservation Project Rural Health Care Program in Zambia. He also served as Associate Director of Management and Deputy Director of Programs for The Task Force for Child Survival and Development (now The Task Force for Global Health). He was on faculty at Emory University, serving as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of International Health at the Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Watt has also worked with Williams & Parker, LLC.
Dr. Watt received a BA in Psychology from Sewanee: The University of the South, an MD from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and a Masters of Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. He was a resident in General Surgery at UCLA and a resident in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Johns Hopkins.
