Real people. Real innovation. Real impact.
A series spotlighting the talent powering Captivate
The spark for Captivate was born from a simple, very human moment in an elevator, where silence felt awkward and boredom was unavoidable. What if this experience could be transformed into something better?
That simple question became our foundation: to build a viewer-first network that informs, engages and empowers coveted audiences. Through creativity, collaboration, and a human touch, we connect people with content that matters – while giving brands a powerful way to Influence the Influential where they work and live.
What started as an elevator idea went on to pioneer the digital-out-of-home industry. Nearly 30 years later we have grown to become North America’s premier digital video network, built on engagement, connection, and measurable impact.
Meet Our Team
Kate Monnier
VP, Customer Relations
Chicago
For over 11 years, Kate Monnier has been the steady voice of Captivate’s customers, guiding the evolution from reactive support to proactive Customer Success. “Our role isn't just to fix problems— it's to make sure every client sees the full value of Captivate, and to bring their voice into how we evolve,” she says.
Her team has grown in both size and scope, serving a wide range of customer needs with a hands-on approach. Every client is paired with a dedicated, US-based Customer Success Manager who knows their business, responds quickly, and stays engaged throughout the entire journey, from onboarding to daily support.
Kate points to several recent wins that highlight this philosophy in action. Her team recently onboarded a large portfolio in a single training session - a challenge that turned into a success story, with the client now among the most active ScreenCenter™ users. Focused on cross-department collaboration with sales, project management, and support, Captivate has a holistic view of every client, ensuring more seamless service and stronger relationships.
Kate describes her team as a “little family within Captivate,” celebrating wins together and supporting each other daily - while spread across the country. Outside of work, she recharges in the kitchen, drawing on her Le Cordon Bleu training to create meals that feed her love of cooking and her sense of accomplishment.
Michael Kingston
VP, Content
Toronto
After nearly two decades in television, Michael Kingston joined Captivate to help shape content in the fast-growing, innovative space of digital-out-of-home (DOOH). As VP of Content, he leads editorial strategy and partnerships across North America to ensure Captivate delivers a premium, trusted experience that informs, engages, and empowers audiences every day.
For real estate owners and managers, Michael emphasizes that content is the product tenants see and remember. By leaning on 200+ world-class partners, editorial care, and ongoing viewer feedback, Captivate ensures screens remain both a trusted daily resource and a differentiating amenity that elevates the property experience.
A highlight accomplishment for his team has been the launch of automated hyper-local event content. “It was a game changer, allowing every building in our network to showcase what is happening right around them and creating a new level of value for tenants.” Under his leadership, Captivate has expanded video features, interactive formats like quizzes, polls, and user-generated content - all of which drive stronger tenant engagement and make screens a true building amenity. His team of editors, each bringing unique perspectives, carefully curating a balanced mix of news, lifestyle, and entertainment refreshed throughout the day.
Looking ahead, Michael sees AI and snackable, short-form media as key industry trends—but notes that what sets Captivate apart is the human touch of his editorial team, whose judgment and creativity keep the network fresh, relevant, and highly engaging.
Ronda Klaumann
VP, Commercial Assets
Frisco, TX
For nearly a decade, Ronda has been a trusted partner to some of Captivate’s largest and most high-profile commercial real estate clients. As VP of Commercial Assets, she supports legacy accounts across key markets. Ronda’s career has been shaped by her hands-on, onsite experience. That in-the-building perspective gives her a unique edge: she knows what works, what doesn’t, and how to evaluate the right solution for each property.
She’s a partner throughout much of the client lifecycle – from negotiating portfolio-wide master agreements to conducting quarterly business reviews of network health reports and new features to solve portfolio challenges. She is also a steadfast advocate for product advancements that will help properties achieve their goals.
“What I love most is being able to really listen to our partners—understand their challenges, anticipate their needs, and then deliver solutions that make their properties stronger,” Ronda shares.
What sets Captivate apart in her eyes? The content. Professionally curated and updated three times a day, Captivate isn’t just filler - it’s engaging, entertaining, and informative. Combined with the ability to post custom property messages through our ScreenCenter™ portal and drive interaction, it creates a platform that tenants truly enjoy, boosting both experience and retention.
Looking ahead, Ronda is energized by CRE’s resurgence post-pandemic and the industry’s push toward screen-agnostic platforms. She sees Captivate’s ability to integrate with third-party hardware as a big advantage that will keep properties flexible and future-ready.
Ask anyone who works with her, Ronda isn’t just managing accounts, she’s a true partner, helping clients modernize, innovate, and create spaces where tenants want to stay.
Kavita Chan
VP, Research
New York City
As VP of Research, Kavita Chan leads the team responsible for transforming data into insight, ensuring Captivate continues to be the preferred media and communication partner for property owners, managers, and advertisers alike.
Her team plays a pivotal role in validating the value of Captivate’s network through the Viewer Tracker, an ongoing pulse on tenant engagement and screen satisfaction. These insights help guide Captivate’s content strategy, confirming that we not only inform but delight viewers, with enjoyability scores consistently in the 90th percentile. “Super fun to see every day! Great conversation starter,” one viewer shared, feedback that reflects both the utility and joy Captivate brings to daily building life. For Real Estate partners, Kavita’s work provides more than metrics, it delivers confidence in Captivate as an essential, valued tenant amenity.
Kavita’s research also fuels advertiser success through campaign effectiveness studies, brand lift results, and proprietary industry thought leadership.
Ask Kavita about her favorite Captivate moments, and she’ll point to her team. She finds energy in their collaboration, creativity, and collective curiosity. Whether it’s brainstorming new methodologies, tackling complex analyses, or simply sharing “wacky” ideas that lead to smarter ways of working. For her, the data tells the story, but it’s the people behind it who make Captivate’s insights truly come to life.
Angie Cabel
Manager, Marketing
Chicago
Angie is a Marketing Manager at Captivate, bringing a well-rounded background across media, global consulting, and luxury retail. Her career journey began at Captivate, where she supported sales and marketing initiatives before expanding her strategic skill set at a leading global consulting firm and later leading brand storytelling for a luxury jewelry company.
Those experiences sharpened her ability to blend data-driven insight with premium creative execution. An approach she now applies back at Captivate. Angie was drawn to return by the company’s distinct position in the market, where technology, curated content, and physical environments come together to create meaningful engagement with high-value audiences.
Equally important was the culture behind the screens. Captivate’s collaborative environment that allows her to partner closely with Engineering, Content, Research, Sales, and Client Success - creating an environment where ideas move quickly from concept to impact. Marketing plays a central role in connecting those efforts and bringing innovation to life.
In her role today, Angie focuses on strengthening Captivate’s brand narrative, supporting product and research storytelling, and ensuring marketing efforts reinforce Captivate’s leadership in Digital Out-of-Home and CRE Tech.
